My name is Jan Prochazka, I am living in Prague, and working since almost 25 years on electronic data interchange (EDI) related topics. I prefer the following working principles:

- doing things the right way, this may take more effort initially, but saves lots of rework effort in the long run
- taking enough time for communication (requirements gathering, training of new colleagues etc.), then EDI projects are more successful
- finding and implementing solutions that are as simple as possible, using EDI standards, documenting properly what was done and why, like this the solutions are more understandable and better maintenable by others in the long run
